How do I update my information in Altruist?
To jump to the section that applies, click on one of the following links:
Update my contact information (address, phone number, or email address)
Update my contact information (address, phone number, or email address)
- Log into your client portal and select your avatar in the upper right hand corner.
- Select “Settings.”
- In the “Profile” tab, make edits to your address phone number or email address. You can also reset your password from this page.
- NOTE: This will only update the address for new accounts, not for past accounts. Continue to step 4 to update current account info.
- To update information on current accounts, navigate to the “Accounts” tab to update each account’s address, email, and phone number individually under "Personal Details"
- This will update the information of record for each account and where you would receive any paper documents associated with that account.
- To navigate between accounts, click each corresponding account in the lefthand column below "Settings"
If you have any trouble, reach out to your planner.
Update my password
- Click forgot password on the login screen and follow the instructions
OR
- Log into your client portal and select your avatar in the upper right hand corner.
- Select “Settings."
- In the “Profile” tab, you can make edits to your password from this page.
Update my name
If you have recently changed your name, you will have to contact your planner.
Please upload a valid ID with your updated name to your Right Capital Vault.
The investment team will send you a document via Xodosign to update your information. Please fill this out and sign it. The investment team will then upload this to Altruist on your behalf to request a name change.
If you are in the process of transferring account in, you might need to sign an additional form called a "One in the Same" letter, in order to verify the account with your previous name may be received by the account with your updated name.
Update my DOB
To update your date of birth, you will have to contact your planner.
Please upload a valid ID with the proper date of birth to your Right Capital Vault, accompanied by a signed letter requesting the change. Then notify your advisor these have been uploaded so they can submit them to Altruist on your behalf.
