How often can I meet with my financial planner?
We know strong relationships take time to build — so your first 6 months look different from the long-term rhythm. When you first join, you’ll go through a guided onboarding experience designed to build momentum. We’ll focus on foundational areas like cash flow, insurance, student loans, or investments — whatever’s most relevant for you — and you’ll receive a series of welcome emails that walk you through what to expect, what to prioritize, and how we’ll support you.
📅 See the SLP Wealth Meeting Cadence here. Over time, things shift into a more flexible, needs-based pace. Most clients achieve great outcomes with a few well-timed meetings per year, along with ongoing access to their financial planner when something important comes up.
Financial planning isn’t about checking boxes with monthly meetings — it’s about having expert support when life throws you something real. That’s why our model is built for flexibility and year-round access.
We bill monthly to keep things manageable (instead of requiring a big annual payment like many firms do), and to make sure you always have guidance available — whether or not there’s a call booked that month.
To help you stay on track, we send a To-Do through your client portal every 6 months, prompting you to schedule a Semi-Annual meeting — a 1-hour check-in designed to review a key part of your financial plan and keep things moving forward.
And when something comes up between check-ins? You can always book a 30-minute session through your portal to dig into anything time-sensitive or unexpected.
